EVCP Checks

What is an EVCP Check?

A routine inspection to ensure chargers comply with IEC 61851-1 and are functioning correctly.

01.

Control Pilot (CP) and Proximity Pilot (PP) Testing

Simulate vehicle connection and check communication signals between the charger and the EV.
02.

RCD/RDC-DD Testing

Verify the functionality of residual current protection devices at the charger level.
03.

Voltage and Phase Testing

Measure input voltages (single-phase or 3-phase) and check phase sequence for 3-phase systems.
04.

Touch Voltage and PE Continuity

Ensure no dangerous voltages are present on the protective earth.
05.

Waveform Analysis

Analyse control pilot signal waveforms to identify communication faults.
06.

Fault Finding and Diagnostics

Diagnose issues related to: RCD tripping. Charger communication errors. Voltage or phase sequence irregularities.
