EV Charger Diagnostic Check – Terms of Service
We’re here to help you keep your EV charger safe and reliable with a straightforward diagnostic check. This test is a non-invasive, plug-in process designed to confirm your charger’s safety features without altering any of your wiring. Think of it as a routine health check for your charger.
What the Test Involves:
We use a specialised diagnostic tool to simulate various load and fault conditions, making sure your charger responds correctly. This includes verifying that the residual current device, or RCD, trips at the appropriate thresholds to keep everything safe. We want to reassure you that this test does not modify or interfere with your charger’s installation in any way.
Power Interruptions and Customer Preparations:
As part of the safety check, we will briefly trip the RCD, which means there will be a short power interruption. We’ll let you know ahead of time and remind you on the day so you can make sure any sensitive or critical devices are managed accordingly. It’s a standard part of ensuring your charger’s protective features are working as intended.
Liability and Reasonable Care:
We take every precaution to carry out the test safely. However, because this is a stress test, there is a small inherent risk of minor consequential impact on the device. By proceeding, you acknowledge this is a normal part of the diagnostic process and that we cannot be held responsible for any indirect damage.
Final Note:
This test doesn’t affect your warranty and isn’t a substitute for a full electrical installation report—it’s just a helpful, routine safety check to give you peace of mind.
